Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT) enables IT administrators to remotely manage roles and features in versions of Windows Server since 2008 R2 from a computer that is running Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista. RSAT (Remote Server Administration Tools) in Windows 10 v1809 and v1903 are no longer a downloadable add-on to Windows. I've asked Microsoft if they plain on merging these two feature menus because it's damn confusing even when you know what you're doing. This package was approved as a trusted package on. To add to the pain, RSAT doesn't have an "install all option", oh no, that would be too easy, there are litterally mutiple RSAT tools to install. RSAT is a feature that you can only get to from Settings -> Apps -> Manage Optional Features -> Add a feature -> RSAT Not content with confusing people with the Roles and Features sections in the server version, we now have features and features in Windows 10. Step 1: Press Win + I to get Windows 10 Settings.
To install RSAT Windows 10 20H2/21H1/1909, etc., follow these steps below. And you can install RSAT via Windows Settings.
There isn't an RSAT download for 1809 and that is because it is now under the list of features in windows 10 although make sure you use the RIGHT set of features because Windows 10 now has two features menus!! For Windows 10 Version 1809 or an advanced version, Microsoft simplifies the installation process of RSAT that is included as a set of 'Features on Demand' in Windows 10 itself.
I went to download and install RSAT and realized that there wasn’t a download available for 1809 same applies for later releases as well: 1903, 1909, 2004, and 20H2. However, some of you are not connected to the internet to retrieve these packages, but still need the RSAT features enabled. This post just serves as quick notes for dissemination amongst my colleagues. Features can be installed at any time and the requested packages are obtained through Windows Update. Wait for the list of features to be populated.Windows 10, build 1809 is slowly making it's way to PC's and the number one question I've heard from people deploying it is "where is RSAT"? Starting with Windows 10 v1809 the Remote Server Administration Tools (RSAT) is now a Feature on Demand (FoD). On the right pane, under Apps & features, click Manage optional features. Using Add a Feature Install RSAT Tools on Windows 10 version 1909, please refer to the following steps: Click Settings and from the settings page, click Apps.
